Marble Mechanics, an immersive VR experience, unleashes you to construct a marble run and simulate the mechanics of marbles running on the track. The track consists of track elements which are easily customizable by simply grabbing them. Funnels, loops, spirals, splitters, turns (both vertical and horizontal), straight segments and blocks are all track elements. Track elements can automatically align themselves for a smooth marble run making construction fast and easy. Group track elements together so grabbing one grabs the entire group. Duplicate and delete individual track elements or entire groups. Save favorite groups to the Track Box to be reused at anytime. Infinite undo/redo is always available. Save favorite runs for sharing, restoring and simulating later.
The world consists of a worksop adjacent to a study. Birds, wind chime, scooters, bicycles, foot steps above the workshop and a cat can occasionally be heard. Background music is also available. Marble runs can be constructed anywhere in the world.
Marble Mechanics uses the latest technology from Epic Unreal Engine 5. Spline meshes or geometry script are used for all of the customizable track elements allowing the user an essentially infinite number of unique track elements. The custom physics is based on an energy equation and a rolling no slip condition. Marbles fall off the tracks if the track can not provide the required normal force for its trajectory. Marble dynamics for funnels and blocks are solely determined by the Unreal physics engine.
